Yay.. had my first band rehearsal around last last week =P Oh man how I missed band. The jokes. The laughter. haha..

Anyway this year we've got a pretty good balance of instruments except for the million flute players. The sound of them all playing together on the high high G (like 10 leger lines above..okay maybe I'm just exaggerating) is just ehmm.. interesting to listen to. But, we've been blessed with a lotta tubas which is always good? =)

I'm so glad I'm not the only oboe player this year.. This is great.. I'll just give the parts I don't want to play to her... Ohh.. I'm not THAT mean.

Well she wasn't actually born in Sydney - she's Canadian =P but she had to move there a few years ago due to complicated family problems.. but yeah.. she really misses her friends and I can't blame her for that =( Anyway I'm glad she moved back to Canada.. she's in 3/4 of my classes at school. I seem to learn a little bit about Australia everyday from her haha.. the other day, I learned that instead of deer crossing signs (which we have here in Canada), they have kangaroo crossing signs (or something like that)... that's so freakin awesome! hahah

Awesome! Haha, yeah, that's true about the kangaroo crossing signs, but only in the bush. =D There are so many things that are normal to us here that everyone else probably finds extremely weird; it amuses the hell out of me, hehe. =P People seem to find our expressions the weirdest, and I can't say I blame them. But personally, I'd love to go to Canada [we have relatives there]! =)
